Another small city in Columbia County, and like most of the cities in the county, it is located along U.S. Route 30 that connects it to Astoria and Portland. Unlike many of the cities, it is not actually along the Columbia River, but sits a bit south. The city is the northern terminus of Oregon 47, which connects south to Vernonia, Forest Grove, and all the way to McMinnville.
