Scholls

Often misspelled as Schools, Scholls still has its country store. Though it has burned down before, Petrich’s General Store still serves this community that still boasts a grange and several berry farms. The community used to have its own school district, Groner, but it was consolidated with the other Hillsboro school districts in 1996.

Scholls lies along the Tualatin south of Aloha, west of Beaverton and Tigard, and just down Scholls-Sherwood Road from Sherwood. In fact, it is a bit of a crossroads in southern Washington County, with Scholls Ferry Road (Oregon 210), Hillsboro Highway (Oregon 219), plus River Road all in the area. Oregon 219 can take you either to Midway on your way back to Hillsboro, or south to Newberg.
